Why should we preach the Minor Prophets?
- We preach the minor Prophets for at least 3 reasons. First, they are routinely overlooked, skipped, avoided and used as good material for quoting but little else. Second, they offer a needed corrective to much of what we witness in the contemporary church. Our half-hearted follow-throughs, best laid plans, and waywardness are laid bare before the eternal God in all of his splendor. Lastly, they reveal the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ in ways the people of our churches need to hear and by which they need to be emboldened.
